Exploring a Unique Steam Game Trial: Guiding a Poop with the Goal to Reach the Toilet

Steam Next Fest is currently underway, and enthusiasts have discovered a variety of interesting indie games. Yet, one catches the eye for its offbeat concept. Called Unko Technica, this classic-feel side-scrolling game features a protagonist that is truly a turd trying to navigate to a restroom. For those curious, "Unko" translates to "poop."

How you interact is straightforward: you only need a jump control. In 150 stages, battle boss fights and visit a market to purchase outfits for your poop character.

Plan your jumps precisely, since one error means starting over. Jump on floating orbs to propel the poop to new heights, cross fragile ledges, and interact with switches to unlock secret routes. Collect currency for buying challenging stages as the action intensifies.

In terms of design, the game boasts neon level designs and catchy background music. The retro art with moving abstract forms could recall players of beloved games like Earthbound.

Even though difficult to recall similar titles where you play as a piece of feces, video games frequently incorporated toilet humor. As an illustration, in Death Stranding, players create grenades from character excrement. Examples include Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved utilize dung as plant food. Unsurprisingly, such content is present extensively in Obsidian's South Park RPG The Stick of Truth.

Regardless of its silly premise, Unko Technica has already received significant awards, such as winning at Bandai Namco's GYAAR Studio in 2023. This trial version is ready now on Steam, with the complete version planned to arrive on PC on November 19.
